Friends of Jade

I've got a collectible fountain pen with a carved green jade cap. There appears to be something black behind the jade, although it could be in the jade, that looks like a few specks of black and a black vein like discoloration going through it. It is only in a small portion. Is this something that naturally occurs in green jade?

Yes, quite common especially in Siberian Nephrite Jade.
