Are authors notified when comments are appended to their articles? Or must they check all their articles for new comments periodically?

Mr. Fred Ward and Company. Congraulations on the new website! As a novice jade collector, I look forward to the open discussion and comments. So, here goes, I would like to hear about Archer's rings (former archer). I have a few thumb rings & many jade books, but no info about Archer's rings (pictures, drawings etc). Can anybody help? Thank you. Stan Henneman

Comments on articles can be emailed to article authors as long as the author has subscribed to the article section. I would suggest that everyone subscribe to the article section or at least to articles they've written or commented on.
The same is true for these discussion threads. If you would like to be notified of a reply, subscribe to the thread or to the entire discussion module. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Dear Fred and all FoJ,
I want to say that I appreciate a lot this website and it is a great idea to have add this forum. I've added a banner linking FoJ forum to my favorite forum list on the Index page of fieldgemology.com.
I hope that it will help to develop this website, attract interested visitors and motivate people to learn more about the "stone from heaven"... This will be one of my commitments for the next few months. It was my first post here but for sure not the last one.
All the best,

Somehow I agreed to write a magazine article on Chinese archer's rings, especially jade ones. So if anyone has any other useful pointers for info I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a collection of 58 Archer Rings, that I am looking to sell. They are made from a variety of materials, but mostly jade. Many have intricate carvings. These were collected by my grandfather Merril Davis. He was an avid archer.
If you know of anyone interest in this collection, please contact me.
